So summer is coming, fast! Here are the books I'm going to read this summer

Hunger Games, Catching Fire & Mockingjay​

The Giver by Lois Lowry

and maybe Steve Jobs's biography but I'm not sure cause it seems so hard​

all in all, they are about 1500 pages in English this summer ;D

I'd rather watch the hunger games movie, cuz it takes so much time to read the book!

I know! I want to finish Hunger Games before the Full HD version of the movie comes out and then I'm going to watch the movie and enjoy it much more! also the books are not hard at all! + I do really enjoy reading them eventhough the movie seems awesome​

well I'm sayin' this, cuz i tried it for twilight and after i read the books (i finished them after new moon came out) the movies didn't seem so attractive for me. however, even if i wanted to read the books i'd read them after watching' the movie itself​

So here is a small part of The Hunger Games, Actually it's the first paragraph of Part Two:
For a moment, the cameras hold on Peeta’s downcast eyes as what he says sinks in. Then I can see my face, mouth half open in
a mix of surprise and protest, magnified on every screen as I realize, Me! He means me! I press my lips together and stare at the floor, hoping this will conceal the emotions starting to boil up inside of me.

“Oh, that is a piece of bad luck,” says Caesar, and there’s a real edge of pain in his voice. The crowd is murmuring in agreement, a few have even given agonized cries.

“It’s not good,” agrees Peeta.

“Well, I don’t think any of us can blame you. It’d be hard not to fall for that young lady,” says Caesar. “She didn’t know?”

Peeta shakes his head. “Not until now.”


I allow my eyes to flicker up to the screen long enough to see that the blush on my cheeks is unmistakable.​

such an activity is in progress in another part of the site, except they are trying to translate the book instead of reading it, so most of us might be busy on that job​

yes but the book was too short that each person's part could be translated in no time.plus,some may not be !

I suggest we wait and see the translation of Heaven is for real and then decide.

Anyone heretried James Bond books? i downloaded the whole pack but it's just too hard :-(​

Cecelia ahern is the writer of p.s I love you which was transformed into a movie two years ago.I read The Gift and it was awsome !

I can't believe nobody is interested in reading English books! :-< Read one good book in English and you'll stop reading translated ones; Take The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, for instance. It's a masterpiece but the translated version is a crap! :P I just read it for a second time and I dare say it's one of the best books for anyone who wants to start reading in English. A few new words, excellent story

I read the whole series last year, I can't read the translated versions anymore, compared to the original one, they suck so bad! But they're not hard at all :-? Why do you say so?

I think anyone claiming to be a Harry Potter fan must read them in English too​

yes i lived with harry potter ;)u are right.....it was really hard for me at first but as i go on it becomes easier...so ur english should be totally great if u have read all of them...well do u have tofel?​

If you've just started reading them, I strongly recommend you download and read the scholastic version. In fact, I have the whole series in the highest quality PDF from the first US edition; It's exactly like the real version and excellent qualty :>

Not really :-? My English is not that good. Although, reading English books helps a lot.

yeah , i also love reading books in english .its more interesting.i have read vampire diaries,secret circle,hunger games.i think the book of hunger games is much more better than the movie.im looking for a good book to read.do you know any?

You read all the three hunger games books or only the first book?

I wasted 7,5 GB's downloading it, now I'm regretful as hell! Although Katniss's character was fine the rest of the movie was torture

If you've already read The Hunger Games, I suggest you continue with The Catcher in The Rye. It's pretty easy to read. Then you can start reading Brave New World That is one step harder yet still the story is excellent​
